Some are only six to eight inches tall while others are just under three feet tall. They live in or near ant hills, termite mounds, swamps, dense areas of the forest and jungles, along riverbanks, and beneath some houses especially those near foothills and mountains. Duwende are known to care for plants and animals. They are protectors of nature. They are not spirits but interdimensional beings who can walk through walls and see you without much effort.
